Wow. What a story. I have been whacked very hard from bands in doors (fortunate they didn't hit me mid throat or in the face), so your story makes that feel even scarier! Glad you are recovering.

What happened next?! So scary and well written. My dad lost an eye in a childhood car accident and had a glass eye or an eyepatch. Also one of my cousins lost an eye in college so lots of eye trauma in my family. Xo

Wow! that is quite the family eye trauma. I am working on part 2. It is a lot to relive and didn't want to overwhelm people with it! Thank you on the writing compliment. It's a process....

Great title! My heart started racing and my mouth got dry, even though I know the ending. I could picture all of this! It’s a story we can all learn from. Never stop sharing it!

Thank you for sharing this story Ali. Sudden freak accidents are so traumatizing and make us feel vulnerable for years to come. I hope your eye fully healed.

Thanks, Sarah. Yes, definitely agree with that! Although it is not fully healed, I received amazing care and have learned to work with how it is. It is amazing how the body learns to adapt.
