I was crying one moment and smiling the next. And it reminded me that we still need to get coffee!

I'm drinking coffee as I read. you are inspiring me with my writing! But I'm not an English major, but I love to write, contemplating it. maybe a creative writing class at Interlochen....

I didn't get to say goodbye to my dad, glad that you were able to speak with him on the phone.

When you mentioned pop tarts to me several months ago, I started eying them in the grocery aisle. But I couldn't bring myself to buy them. Found some sorta healthier ones at Oryana and have a new appreciation for the sugary breakfast treat.

My happy place is the beach at sunset. Clarification: ocean beach

Keep on sharing you being you.

Thanks for your words Christine... I actually didn't get to speak to my dad either.... only spoke to the nurse, but I felt like he knew I called, so was able to go.

Regarding pop tarts: I tried the healthier version and nope.doesn't work for me. the OG all the way for me... but only on special occasions :)

And yes.... ocean beaches are the best!

Love you friend!

I love reading your words, friend! ❤️ And yes, yes, yes to all the coffee, forever and always. (I, too, have that same kind of relationship that you have with tea!)

When you mentioned what you endured with your eye surgeries, of course I think of our podcast conversation and your honest re-telling of what happened and your brave thoughts on how it affected your life and your love for movement. xoxo

Thank you, Heather! That means a lot coming from you, as I've enjoyed your writing and podcasting for many years! Yes... I do know your love of coffee. And am glad to find out you share my tea problem. That podcast episode was an important part in my healing journey. I do miss our conversations.

hi Ali, I enjoyed your litany and also your writing process. I want to hear more about your eye -- what a painful freak accident! What happened to it exactly?

When I'm feeling "coffeed out" from too much coffee, I like chai tea with warm milk. Or any kind of steamed milk (cow's milk, oat, or almond). I love coffee too though.

Oh Sarah! Thank you so much. This really means a lot as I admire you and your writing so much. My eye..... well that is a quite a story (and a podcast episode , thank you Heather!) I can share the episode and maybe I will write a post on it as well. It was pretty terrifying and the recovery was my toughest endurance event ever.

I am sooooo picky with my chai but I agree, any steamed milk makes it better. And hot chocolate is wonderful but I never drink it!
