Of course I knew why but I read it for inspirations as you are the reason I run trails. For me the trails are totally a non-competitive environment. I GET to enjoy my surroundings with ease, work hard up the hill is my favorite and ease on the way down. Trail running has improved my focus, I pick up my feet, there is no shuffling here! So Thank you! I get you and super excited to read all about it when you finish this amazing journey before the next one! Get to Can do!

Yes! All this! Love your spirit and attitude MaryBeth! Embrace the hill is another phrase I love to remind myself of... in running and in life. Thank you so much for reading and for your kind words!

A first 100 is so special. You’ll PR at the distance no matter what :-) and you’ll learn a ton. Congratulations on all your dedicated training to get to the start line!

My answer to that question is two word: “I don’t.” 😆

But I’m super proud of you and happy to be part of the same running community!

Love your answer Joe! That would be the sane logical answer. And I am so glad to have you as part of the "tribe" that I vibe with !

Love this so much Amy. I’m fascinated why and how women come into these meditative endurance sports in later life. Curious how you keep your body happy between events. You’re a rockstar!

I just got back into town after 3 weeks traveling. I haven’t gotten the invites. Can you forward to me?

Thanks Pia! Takes one rockstar to know another rockstar! It is pretty interesting how many awesome women 50+ are doing amazing endurance events. I've learned over the years how to listen when my body talks to me (which obviously it does wayyyy more now than it used to!) And also I really prioritize yoga and strength training, and doing the best I can with my nutrition, without becoming too obsessive about it (old ED brain!) My body is happiest when it is moving... however that looks so I just keep moving :)
