Oh that is tough. It is a very relatable article. This “. Yes, I can do hard things, like run 100 miles, but I can also do hard things that don’t require a single step.” And it is the hard things that don’t require a step that don’t make the highlight reel or get cheers from others. That is what makes it extra hard!!

Once when I was injured I returned to playing my guitar because I realized I needed joy and immersion that didn’t require physicality (well a different kind). I find that still helpful

Wow.

My heart goes out to you, Ali, because I know how much you love running, and now I know how necessary it has become.

I have faith that you will get through this, and if necessary find something else that will help you feel complete.

Know this: You are truly loved 🥰
